Our approach to coaching
It's not just sports mad kids who get a buzz from our classes. We pride ourselves on ability to offer coaching to children whatever their fitness levels and goals.
MINT Coaching founders Tristan and Chris share a passion for CrossFit but come from two very different elite sporting backgrounds, gymnastics and rugby. They have both been teaching and coaching children and teens for over 25 years, so they know what motivates and excites kids when it comes to designing MINT classes, and have a unique combination of skills and ideas from which to draw.
Jamie had his first exercise high after the last session, so amazing to see. It’s great to see him enjoying it so much and getting stronger.
Petra, MINT Mum of Jamie

Lots of MINT kids come and train with us because PE or team sports aren’t their thing and they’re looking for another way to stay active. When your child trains with MINT, not only will they see physical improvements, but also, ever changing, ever challenging group workouts will teach them how to problem solve together and feel confident in themselves.
MINT facilities
All our facilities are fitted with top of the range equipment, the same as the professional athletes use.
Creative coaching and the use of lightweight PVC pipes and Junior barbells allow the younger age groups to safely learn technique without adding significant load. Bespoke multi-use sandbags provide another way to safely introduce resistance training to our younger MINT kids.
What else do MINT do?

Coaching in schools
MINT is already delivering tailor-made classes to a number of schools in the local area, from 1stXV Rugby Pre Season training and girls-only speed technique sessions to Sixth Form general fitness classes. Every school has individual needs and goals and MINT is passionate about delivering bespoke Strength and Conditioning programming to meet them.
Our Founding Partner, Chris, is a former Head of PE and Deputy Head Teacher who truly understands the demands of a busy PE department. The perfect compliment to the PE Curriculum, we get sports teams, junior years and pupils of all abilities, right up to Sixth Form, moving more efficiently, feeling stronger and brimming with confidence.

Supporting local initiatives
MINT is passionate about getting kids moving and bringing our Strength & Conditioning knowledge and techniques to the local community.
General physical preparation is the bedrock of fitness and sporting success and we look forward to discussing how we can help your initiative. We currently support Richmond Council and their Youth Games athletes, providing support as they prepare for the London Youth Games in 2020.
